What is GGP?

A financial assistance scheme for developing projects designed to meet the diverse needs of developing countries in the field of Basic Human Needs and Human Security. This scheme supports projects proposed by such bodies as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and local government authorities, educational institute, and medical institute (Federal government cannot be a recipient).

The GGP has acquired an excellent reputation for providing flexible and timely support to development projects at the grass-roots level.

Project Areas : primary health care, primary education, poverty relief, public welfare, and environment.

Since 1989 , 30 projects in Sabah has received the GGP with a total grant amount of around RM 3.2million,
and 13 projects in Sarawak has received the GGP with a total grant amount of around RM 2.5million.
