The collapsed tree blocking the intersection to the Consular Office of Japan has been removed, the road is now open to vehicles.Thank you for your patience and we apologized for any inconvenience caused.

Annoucement: 15th April 2014 – Due to a tree collapsed on the telephone pole at the intersection road to the Consular Office of Japan this morning, It caused the telephone service in the area disrupted and vehicles may be unable to enter the intersection. Currently, it is under repair and expectantly will be restored by tomorrow.We apologized the inconvenience caused.

Exemption of Visa for Malaysian Nationals holding biometric passport with an embedded microchip(link to the site of Embassy of Japan in Malaysia)  

The Government of Japan has decided that from 1 July, Malaysian nationals who hold ordinary biometric passports with an embedded microchip

that is compliant with ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standards (issued since February 2010) and wish to enter Japan for short-term stay

will no longer need to obtain a visa for the entry.
