The Signing of the Grant Contract regarding Grassroots Grant Assistance Project for Purchasing Vehicle for Welfare Home at Likas

The Government of Japan extended grant up to US$43,097 to the project for purchasing vehicle for the welfare home at Likas. The grant contract between the Embassy of Japan and Sabah Cheshire Home was signed on 26th November 2014 at Consular office of Japan in Kota kinabalu.

The grant will be used for purchase of a vehicle(van), loader for wheelchair and wheelchair safety system.The van and equipments will benefit many disabled people at Sabah Cheshire Home. The van will be used for visiting hospitals and other many activities.

 Since 1996, under the Grassroots Grant Assistance, the Government of Japan has extended the assistance in Sabah with 33 small-scale but socially and economically important projects amounting to approximately RM 3.5 million in total.
