Courtesy Visit by Representatives of the OISCA Toyama Prefectural Chapter

On 4th August, Head of Consular Office of Japan in Kota Kinabalu Nakasuji received a courtesy visit from representatives of the OISCA (The Organization for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement-International) Toyama Prefectural Chapter, a public interest incorporated foundation in Japan, and provided a brief overview of the area under the office's jurisdiction.
The OISCA has been making efforts in developing human resources in agricultural sector in Sabah for many years by operating a youth training center in Tenom, Sabah in collaboration with the Sabah Rural Development Corporation (KPD : Koperasi Pembangunan Desa) and offering training courses in Japan to its graduates. Also, it has supported forest conservation projects led by local residents in a village near Ranau, Sabah.
