At “Otakyun! 2026” ー one of the largest pop-culture (anime, comics, idols and games) events in East Malaysia ー to be held in Kuching, Sarawak on the following dates, the Consular Office of Japan in Kota Kinabalu will set up a booth showcasing traditional Japanese culture, including origami (paper folding), shodo (calligraphy), traditional toys, Yukata and Happi coats (traditional Japanese garments) as well as providing comprehensive information about Japan such as tourism to Japan, including International Horticultural Expo 2027 (Green×Expo 2027), guidance on studying at Japanese universities, and Japanese language learning contents.
