The local anime convention OtaFuse was successfully held again this year. More than 40 booths were set up for display and sales of anime-related goods, besides which special programs such as a cosplay contest and an anime quiz were arranged for the stage. An anime song contest was also added to the program this year. Many young anime fans attended the popular two-day event, especially during the afternoon when the contests were being held, it would become so crowded there was hardly any space to walk.
The Consular Office also had a booth at the event introducing traditional Japanese toys and origami.
