Japanese Cultural Night (Bon Odori) 2019 Event Report

○Venue: Universiti Malaysia Sabah (Padang Kawad)
The 11th Japanese Cultural Night (Bon Odori) hosted by Japanese Cultural Club of Universiti Malaysia Sabah was attended by approximately 1,000 participants from all over Kota Kinabalu, including the university students and local residents.
Besides Bon dance, there were also dances performed by the Kinabalu Japanese School students as well as demonstrations by Japanese martial art organizations (Kendo , Shourinji Kenpo, and Judo), there were many stalls and booths, and even a tea ceremony presentation by the Japanese residents in Kota Kinabalu.
The Consular Office also had a booth at the event which introducing traditional Japanese toys and origami.
