Since the 1980s, he has been working as a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer and JICA expert, making use of his fish seed production technology. This contributed to securing protein resources in impoverished areas around the world. Particularly in Malaysia, he has been involved in numerous aquaculture research since 1988, and was the first in the world to successfully produce seedlings of important fish such as grouper and catfish. Furthermore, he generously returns his skills to the local community in the form of education, and with the motto of "fostering fish farmers", he is also working hard to train students who will be involved in aquaculture development.

The Embassy of Japan looks forward to Professor Senoo’s continuous contribution in the field of education.
