Ambassador Shikata's Courtesy Call on Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS)

On 13th February , Ambassador Shikata paid a courtesy call on Professor Datuk Dr. Kaim Haji Mansor, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). They exchanged views on strengthening collaboration with Japanese universities, medical cooperation, and cooperation in the blue economy, and confirmed their commitment to further deepening bilateral cooperation, including plans for an Ehime University satellite campus at UMS and the upcoming launch of the new UMS hospital. The Ambassador also visited campus facilities including the Borneo Marine Research Institute.
