Courtesy Call on Sabah Head of State by Outgoing and Incoming Head of Office (March 2026)

On 12th March, Head of Consular Office of Japan in Kota Kinabalu Yamashita and Deputy Head of Office Nakasuji, Yamashita's successor, paid a courtesy call on Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Datuk Seri Panglima (Dr.) Musa Bin Haji Aman, Sabah Head of State on the occasion of leaving and assuming the post of Head of Office.
Mr. Yamashita expressed his appreciation for the good relations established between Sabah and Japan throughout his tenure. He also expressed hope that direct flights between Sabah and Japan would be able to be resumed to facilitate travel and increase the number of visitors from Japan in the future.
